Saturday, June 9, 8:30 –10:30am
Hummingbirds are one of the most-loved, most researched, but least-understood birds common to your backyards and to our marina. Environmental Educator and Naturalist Bill Gordon has been watching, feeding, studying, and even talking to these incredible birds for 50 years, and he has lots of stories to share. Bill will share insights into the newest research and help you unlock some of the mysteries and secrets of this incredible flyer. We will take a look at their habits, habitat, and quirky attitudes.
Bill will discuss ways to attract hummers to your yard, feed them safely, and observe their Star Trek lifestyles. We will have a few hummers for you to look at, samples of feeders, and …DONUTS at 8:15 before the workshop starts. Don’t miss this informative and educational seminar, you’ll be amazed by this tiny flying machine.
This is the second of the Marina Nature Series. Meet at the Stingray Point Marina Pool House.
Open to Stingray Point Marina slip holders, family members and guests.
