We had a beautiful day for the Opening Day Festivities. The open house at the Lighthouse on Saturday afternoon was packed with happy sailors back to start the season. Food, drink and friendships were enjoyed by all. After the open house party, the SHYC had their blessing of the fleet ceremony and the annual burning of the socks. The beginning of another great season of sailing and fun.
Here are the Photo Contest Winners from the first round of entries. Winners received a $50 Gift Certificate to West Marine for each image selected to be used for marketing of Stingray Point Marina. Thank you to all who submitted wonderful pictures of our beautiful marina. Didn’t get your photos in on time? We are still accepting photos, in particular we are looking for great shots of people having fun, people at the pool, dog friendly atmosphere, people and boats sailing.

On Saturday, April 28, Marina slip holders and Stingray Harbor Yacht Club members were treated to a wonderful party with great food on a cold cloudy afternoon. The party was held in the Stringray Point Marina Lighthouse. Many had never had the opportunity to visit the interior of our Lighthouse, an exact, full scale recreation of the 1858 original Stingray Point Lighthouse. The Marina will be turning over access to the Lighthouse interior to the Stingray Harbor Yacht Club and all Club members will be able to enjoy the new space to relax, watch a little TV and enjoy the views. Thanks to Lisa for creating a lovely party.
