Do you know basic first aide in case of injury or medical emergency while out sailing on your boat? Do you know how to call for help? Do you know how to handle the boat while you wait for help and attend to the person who is injured? I bet there are a lot of us in the marina who do not. Stingray Point Marina is offering s Safety-at-Sea Seminar for all slip holders and any others who are interested.

We will be meeting in the Pool House and have expert speakers cover topics such as contacting the Coast Guard, sea sickness, broken bones, dehydration, what to do for a heart attack and other medical emergency situations while at sea. Please plan to attend–it could save a life–maybe yours.

Open House Party

May 2, 2012 by admin

open house partyOn Saturday, April 28, Marina slip holders and Stingray Harbor Yacht Club members were treated to a wonderful party with great food on a cold cloudy afternoon. The party was held in the Stringray Point Marina Lighthouse. Many had never had the opportunity to visit the interior of our Lighthouse, an exact, full scale recreation of the 1858 original Stingray Point Lighthouse. The Marina will be turning over access to the Lighthouse interior to the Stingray Harbor Yacht Club and all Club members will be able to enjoy the new space to relax, watch a little TV and enjoy the views. Thanks to Lisa for creating a lovely party.

D-Dock Construction Update

May 2, 2012 by admin

D-Dock at Stingray Point MarinaThe first leg of the D-Dock upgrade is complete, and boats are starting to move in. The slips are bigger, there is new decking and finger piers. Plus, we’ve installed new lighthouse power pedestals. High tides this spring have slowed the progress, but we look forward to its completion.
